The Mandala Meditation: A powerful active technique.
Mandalas, meaning “circles” in Sanskrit, are sacred symbols that are used for meditation, prayer, healing and art therapy for both adults and children. Mandalas have been shown in clinical studies to boost the immune system, reduce stress and pain, lower blood pressure, promote sleep and ease depression.
We love this meditation because it works with three centers in the body. The first stage works on the base, the second on the hara and the third works on the third eye. These are the centers for grounding, clarity and insight.
If you’re having trouble finding your center, the Mandala Meditation is often a great help. Due the circular focus, it’s a wonderful centering exercise. Circles of energy within circles of energy as all movements are circular, hence the name Mandala!
The aim of this technique is to create a circle of energy so that centering results naturally.
Active Meditations are great for beginning or experienced meditators. The meditation itself lasts about an hour with some welcoming instructions and time to set intentions at the beginning. Online access closes at 9:40 so as not to interrupt the process. There will be an opportunity to integrate this transformative experience afterwards.

How to prepare?
Create your home space to support yourself in meditating, moving, sitting, and lying down. Our virtual room will open about 10 minutes before the start so you can troubleshoot any technical difficulties. We recommend you have drinking water and tissues nearby. Wear clothes in which you can move comfortably. Layers are preferable to support you in times of high or low energy.
